Jefferson city offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day. Garbage pick-up will be on the holiday schedule, with each route serviced one day later than usual. The Jefferson Public Library will be closed. The Greene County Community Center will be open regular hours, 5 am to 9:30 pm.
The clerk of court office at the Greene County courthouse and the ISU Extension & Outreach Greene County office will be closed as the day is a holiday for state employees.
Additionally, Greene County schools will not be in session for students. Professional development time is scheduled for teachers.
Greene County employees, including courthouse staff, will work. The county supervisors did not designate MLK Day as a county holiday.
